Hmm, Lets See What We Have

Caleb loves to take a survey of what is in the fridge every time I open the fridge door. I thought I got the door shut but he must have slid in at the last second. I couldn't miss the photo opp.

Don't Let The Weather Stop You

We had another snow storm on Sunday before Christmas. We all were ready for church and made it to exit 7 only to decide that the road were just to bad to try to make it into church. So Daddy preached to us when we got home. Why let the bad weather stop you from worshiping our Lord.

Family Picture

Tony got creative using the timer on our camera. This was Christmas Eve before we went to church. I hope everyone had a Wonderful Christmas!

Christmas Concert by Courtney

Courtney's Christmas band concert was cancelled twice this year because of bad weather. I was so sad. She was so excited to play and I was really looking forward to hearing her with the rest of the band and the high school band. So she played for Daddy and I in the living room. I video taped one song for family and friends to see. She is so funny, she started humming when it wasn't her part to play. I am so excited that she has the gift of music. Tony and I love listening to her play and learn new skills.

The Kids at Thanksgiving

This year we spent Thanksgiving with our friends Jeff and Val. We had a wonderful time! They have two girls. Quinn is the oldest and Ella is Caleb's age. They all had fun playing together. Caleb had fun driving the girls nuts. It must be a built in gene for boys to automatically know that they are supposed to give the girls a hard time. LOL!

Surprise Birthday Visit From Grammy

This year Sissy had a huge surprise for her birthday. Grammy flew in from VA on Wed morning. We did not tell the kids and it was so worth the surprise on their faces . When Gracie realized that we were at the airport she thought Jeremy and Julie were here. Then I asked her who was standing on the curb and she said "Hey that's my Grammy!" So she was excited. We picked Sissy up from school and Grammy hid in the back seat of the van and popped out when we arrived at Dunkin Donuts when she helped Gracie out of her seat. The facial expression was so priceless. We took her out to the Weather Vane for clam strips for her birthday dinner. We had a wonderful time.

Absolutely Fabulous

Sissy received her report card a few weeks ago now, but yesterday she found out that she made the "High Honour Roll". I am so excited and proud of her. She is a hard worker, and for the most part is able to keep her priorities in the right order. ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS SISSY!

Charlie Brown

Tony and I were shopping at Target and I seen this shirt. It was a must and there wasn't much thought other than where is the cart. A gal at church has called Caleb, Charlie Brown since he was tiny. (I'm not sure when he was tiny.) Caleb has always had that round head and face. He just started thinning out since he started walking. So we took a picture of him in his Charlie Brown shirt and Brown Cords and gave it to Mrs. Faulk. She LOVED it!

By the way I took Caleb back to the Doctors today and his lungs sound GREAT! PRAISE THE LORD! So she said just watch after him for a week or two but she didn't foresee any issues. I am so thankful.

Please Be Careful

I thought I would share my thoughts maybe it is to vent and also to prevent someone else from going through the same guilt that I feel right now. Today I was fixing Gracie's hair in the kids bathroom and I thought Caleb was in the living room. We were getting ready to leave for Caleb's well baby apt. We usually keep the main bathroom door closed just because Caleb loves to go through cabinets and if the toilet lid is not down he likes that too. Needless to say the door was not closed and he of course was in there trying to see if there was anything new to explore. I had a Yankee Candle Reed Diffuser on the back of my toilet. He has never bothered it nor did I think he could reach it. But today he did. When I went in there he had it all over his clothes and had drank some of it. I quickly put him in the bath wash him down (I did not want it in his eyes) and we left quickly for the Doctors. They called poison control. When I found Caleb he was not gagging (making some yucky faces sticking out his tongue but not gagging) so that is good for him. They said if he was that is a chance that the oil could have gone into his lungs and we all know that is NOT good. The nurse finished the call with poison control and the Doctor came in to see Caleb. She feels confident that he did not cough it up (which cause it to come back up, I guess when it goes back down it could go in the lungs I hope I am makeing sense.) His lungs sound good for right now and we go back on Thursday. She will recheck him then and if all is well will give him his shots then. All this to say, even if you have animals the chance that your kids or the animal could climb or knock it over to me seems like to big of a chance for what could happen. When I got home from the doctors I still had a mess to clean up. There was a puddle on top of my toilet lid and when I wiped it off it had eaten through some of the paint. I called Tony at work and said Caleb will have the cleanest insides. I had called work when it happened (I work at Yankee Candle) and ask what the box says in case of a accident like this, when I called back to give them a update my boss answered. I told her I hope she does not expect me to sell those things to anyone. She was glad to hear Caleb was fine and she said, No Lisa something tells me you will steer everyone clear of those. I am thankful that he is okay and we will keep our eye out over the next twenty four hours.

Peanut Butter and Cheeto Kisses

Is their anything better than when your toddler wants to give you luv and he just so happened to just eat lunch? They are the only ones that can pull off the Peanut butter and Cheeto breath kisses. Sounds silly but it is so sweet to me.

New Header?

I am thinking about changing my header to "The Sulpizio Five" I think I just like it better. Why I didn't think of that earlier I do not know. The only bad thing about it is that every one has me under My Pizo Pack. What do you think?

Gracie's Really Big Boo Boo

My poor Gracie, She fell trying to step down to the toilet from the counter. When she did she slipped and fell face first into the tub. Tony called me at work and asked me for the the nurse hot line number and told me what happened. I have to say that I never imagined it to look like this. When I seen her my heart just broke. It was so much more swollen last night. We kept her close by during the night and woke her up every few hours to make sure she could speak clearly and walk. The nurse said to call back if she vomits twice. But thankfully no vomiting. This morning she is her normal joyful self. She is singing right now "His Banner Over Me Is Love" So she still has a song in her heart. She does go look in the mirror and check on her "Boo Boo" about every hour. Then she comes out and says "Momma I have a REALLY BIG BOO BOO this time hu?" I am just thankful that she is okay. Plus she is still smiling.

Just in a Thankful Spirit

I have just been in a thankful spirit today. I was making hair bows for Gracie today and I was so excited to be able to make something some what crafty. Since for what ever reason my parents crafty talent jean did not get passed down to me. At any rate it just led to me think about things that I am thankful for. So thought I would share some.

I am thankful for:

-My Lord who loved me enough to save me, and that we have the freedom to worship in the United States.
-My husband that works so hard to take care of me.
-My children and all that they teach me everyday.
-My job, it isn't always what I want to do but the Lord gave it to me.
-That gas in our town is down to $2.53.
-That the town police help with traffic by Courtney's school so we can make it out of the parking lot.
-Being able to have lunch with the Stones on Sundays and play games. We have so much fun and laugh so hard!
-My weight loss, and my husband being right there beside me to encourage me.

My list could go on and on but I will quit for today. Just things that I have been thinking about today while working on hair bows and around the house. I hope that maybe you might stop and think about what God has blessed you with lately.

Quick Picture

I thought I would post this. Tony took it on Sunday morning before church. I have been asked why there are not many pictures of me on the blog and there are probably a few reasons for that but for the most part it is me taking the pictures. At any rate here I am with Caleb Man. As you can tell we do not look much like mother and son. :( But he sure is a sweet little man. He saves his kisses for his Momma and will not share them even with his Daddy.

Cute Moments By Gracie

Just ran across some pictures of Gracie when she was a bit younger. I thought they were cute so I figured I would post them. She had gotten into some eye shadow that I had just bought. It was one of those moments you where you try not to laugh, and I should have scolded her for doing wrong but I asked Tony for the camera instead.

Gracie loves to play with just about anything. She had started playing with this bucket and the next thing you know she is inside of it. It looks like a tight squeeze. She was having a blast. What a blessing it is to watch her play and grow.

Curry Pumpkin Soup

This is so YUMMY! I made this today for my family and it is something I had to share! Caleb ate two bowls. The girls were so so on it.

2 tbsp butter
2 medium onions chopped (1c)
1 med carrot, chopped (1/2 c)
stalk celery,chopped (1/2 c)
1 tsp curry powder
1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
2 15 oz can of pumpkin
2 14 oz cans reduced sodium chicken broth
2/3 c water
1 c half and half or light cream
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp ground pepper

In 4-quart pot or dutch oven melt butter over medium heat. Add onions, carrots and celery. Cook ten minutes, stir ocasionally, until veggies are softened. Add curry powder and pumpkin pie spice. Cook another minute. Add pumkin, chicken broth and water. Increase heat to medium high and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium low and simmer for fifteen minutes. Remove from heat and let cool a bit.

In food processor or blender add one third of soup and blend until smooth repeat until all of the soup has been blended. Return to pot.

Stir in half and half (or light cream) salt and pepper and heat through. Top with Orange Cranberry topper.

Orange Cranberry Topper:
combine 1/2 cup dried cranberrys, 1 tablespoon finely shredded orange peel and 2 tablespoon snipped fresh Italian (flat leaf) parsley.

Each 1 cup serving : 145 calories, 7 grams fat, (4g sat fat), 19 mg chol, 433 mg sodium, 20grams carb, 4 grams fiber. Serves 8.

It did say if you wanted to make it and freeze it, to freeze it before andding the light cram. It will last three months in the freezer. Defrost and add the cream. I have to say the cream did not make a huge differance to me. I thought it was just as good with out it. It just made the color lighter.

Who Is Your Worst Enemy?

I know who my own worst enemy is. It is myself. I tell you what, I can beat myself up mentally over so many things that it is ridiculous. I think I have always been this way to a degree, but as I have gotten older I think I do it more. I let things affect me that I shouldn't and when I do, it is like my mind is stuck like a broken record playing through over and over again.

Today I let something bother me and that triggered me wondering about different situations. I have to say,I felt myself wallowing in no where land and I had to go back and ask myself how in the world did I let myself get this point? I also asked myself is this the way the Lord wants me to be. Well of course that answer is NO! Satan knows how to cause me to stumble and he was doing a good job of it. I pulled out my Bible and read and really took it in. I can not control how people act or feel. I can not control how they view me or my family the only thing I can control is doing what the Lord wants for me, following my husband, and taking care of my children to the best of my abilities. So why let my mind ponder things that I can not control? Why not think on things that Philippians 4:8 tells me? Finally, brethern, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report, if there be any virture, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Philippians 4:8

Maybe this is to much to publish for all to read, I am not sure. But it was on my heart.

My Bathroom Has Been TP'D

I left Caleb to his self for a quick minute and look where it gets me. Tony was trying to tell me how to down load pictures from the camera to the computer over the phone. (No I could not do it again with out his help either.) I walked out to check on the kids and this is what I found. But because my camera was connected to the computer at the time, I could not take a picture of Caleb sitting in the middle of the mess looking up at me as if I should be proud of him because he was so proud of himself! So here is the picture of the mess. Yes that is another ball of toilet paper by the tub. I think he wanted to rearrange the rugs too. I found it funny that I have a picture of Courtney at 9 months sitting in the middle of her toilet paper mess. except she brought it out into the living room of my mother in law's. If I find that picture I will scan it and post it. That was the day of video camera's not digital.

Caleb is Moving Now

We wanted Caleb to walk before our friends Jeremy and Julie left. As much as we encouraged him he was not ready and that is fine. Tony and I gave this push and scoot toy to Caleb for his birthday. He has never wanted to walk with it before until the day after Jeremy and Julie left. He is a stinker. We did have to take his jammy pants off, he kept walking on them. He looks like a little old man with a walker. Funny hu.

Yum Soup

Today is very chilly out. I think it is in the low 40's. The weather is changing so quickly. It made me think of soup. For me I am more of a chili girl or cream based soups, I know cream bases soups are not good for us. So it made me think of one of my low fat cook books that I have. I haven't made this soup since I lived in Hawaii. (I know you are thinking why in the world would you eat soup in hot Hawaii. Well I guess you just try to keep traditions of what you would do if the seasons were changing.) Tony and I are trying hard to lose our weight. We are finally inspired by the fact that we are not healthy and the weight needs to come off. We have fabulous friends that are encouraging us and holding us accountable. The encouragement is a blessing to me and knowing that I am going to email everything that I put in my mouth to my friend helps me to not eat things that I know that I shouldn't because she is going to remind me of my goals! I am so proud of my husband for trying so hard! So on that note, here is a corn chowder recipe that you might like. Of course you could use regular cream and real bacon but it is really good with the light cream and turkey bacon or with no bacon at all. You should at least try it once the healthier way. I have also added some chicken before it makes it a bit more hardy.

Corn Chowder:

2 slices turkey bacon cooked and crumbled
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup yellow pepper
2 1/2 cups low sodium chicken broth
10 oz cubed potatoes
2 cups whole corn kernels
1/4 cup light cream

Cook bacon and place on paper towel then crumble and save for later. In 3 quart pot add onion and bell pepper and tsp of water. Saute until soft, about 5 minutes. Add broth and potatoes. Bring to boil; lower heat. Simmer partially covered, 10 minutes, or until potatoes are tender. Add corn; simmer 5 minutes longer. Remove from heat; cool slightly.

Place two cups of soup into food processor or blender; puree until smooth. Pout back into sauce pan. Stir in cream and heat to serving temperature. Top each serving with bacon.

Caleb Swings

Caleb LOVES to swing! We ate lunch at the park after going to the Ben and Jerry's Factory. Caleb laughs the whole time with pure elation while on the swing! It doesn't get much better than this!

Gracie And The Stove

All of us girls were cleaning up the kitchen after haveing a YUMMY dinner of Chicken Fajitas. Gracie loves to help Sissy out too. She got out her stool and this time offered to wipe the stove top. She did a Fabulous job. Sissy is ready for her to learn how to do the big things so that she can help out more.

Sharing

Tony and I caught Gracie and Caleb in the kitchen sharing their thumbs. Why? I am not sure. Maybe they wanted to know if each others thumbs tasted the same. HMMM, I guess that will always be a mystery but at the same time it sure was cute! Before we know it they will be all grown up. These are the times to treasure!! We were a bit to late getting the picture of Gracie offering her thumb to Caleb. Oh well at least we got this one!

Caleb Verses The Cookie

I made home made chocolate chip cookies today. YUMMY! We let Caleb feed himself, he loved it of course but we were not sure if he ate the cookie or if the cookie ate him. This was about half way through. We should have taken a picture at the end but we took him straight to the tub.

It's All Her Fault

I have decided that Terri enjoys tempting me. She had a "Mocha Coffee Coolatta" from Dunkin Donuts. She asked if I would like to try it. I do not even enjoy coffee but I thought why not. Well that choice was a mistake!!!! I enjoyed it. I told her I wasn't sure I would be able to drink a whole one. Well last night at work I was now craving one. So I thought why not. It was so yummy and of course I did enjoy drinking it ALL. This is not a good habit to start! Hmmm maybe I should go get one now?

Tony Breaks Bricks

This weekends Karate demo went fabulously. I am so excited for my husband and the students. I enjoyed watching them during their training and as they learned more from God's word and object lessons. I have to say it will stay with me for a long time. My husband had never broken bricks before Saturday. Steve had him break a stack of three earlier in the day and then during the demo for the church and community he broke a stack of four. I was just sooo excited for him. It is tradition to keep your first board that you break. I asked Tony if that meant we were going to be keeping six pieces of broken brick. He giggled and said no that they would go in the trash.

I will be posting different pictures in the future.

Our Friends Are Coming

Let me introduce your to our friends Steve and Terri. I am so excited they will be here in just under a week. We met Steve and Terri at our church out in WA. We became great friends. Also Steve is Tony's Karate Sensei. (He is a 2nd degree black belt.) He will be here to help with some sessions for Tony's Dojo and a demo for our church and community if they would like to come. I am sure it will be a great time of learning for the class and a FABULOUS time of fellowship for me.
I will make sure to post pictures of the demo so that everyone can see.

Thanks Paula Deen

Okay so I have to say I do enjoy Paula Deen's cooking. My husband does not always care for her but he has enjoyed many of her recipes. My Momma sends me her coupons (because for some reason they are AWESOME where she lives) and mixed in with the coupons was her Paula Deen magazine. Well of course sending the magazine to me was a whoops but I have already put it to good use. Thanks Momma!!!!! I do love cooking and baking. So I thought I should place the recipe on the blog so all of you can try something a smidgen different. I made the cake for some friends we were supposed to have dinner with but Caleb ended up with the iks so I sent half the cake with Tony to give it to them. Shannon said she really liked it.

"Simply Delicious Strawberry Cake"
1 box white cake mix
1 3oz box strawberry instant gelatin
1 10oz frozen strawberries in their own juice thawed and pureed
4 large eggs
1/2 cup veggie oil
1/4 cup water

Preheat oven to 350* Grease 2 round 9 inch cake pans. In large bowl combine cake mix and gelatin. Add pureed strawberries, egg, oil, and water; beat at medium speed until smooth. Pour into prepared pans and bake for 20 minutes or until tooth pick comes out clean. Let cool ten minutes and remove from pans to cool completely on wire racks.

"Strawberry Cream Cheese Frosting"
1/4 c butter softened
1 8oz package cream cheese, softened
1/4 c pureed strawberries
1/2 teaspoon strawberry extract
7 c powdered sugar

In large bowl beat butter and cream cheese at medium speed with a electric mixer until creamy. Beat in 1/4 cup strawberry puree. Beat in extract. Gradually beat in powdered sugar beating until smooth. You may not use all seven cups. For pinker frosting ad 2 or 3 drops of red food coloring to frosting.

"Cooking with Paula Deen" May/June issue page 65

I do think it would be okay to use a 13x9 cake pan. My cakes were a smidgen hard to get out of the pan but then again that could be operator error. LOL!! This was so yummy and the strawberry flavor was FABULOUS! Also you will have frosting left over but that will be great to put on graham crackers for a easy sweet snack for the kiddos later.

Peanutbutter Sandwich

Gracie loves to make her own sandwiches now. She was letting Sissy help her on this day. I think it was Sissy's first day off for summer break. Anytime I am in the kitchen making dinner or a dessert Gracie is ready to help or watch. I think she is going to be the family chef.

Is He Really One Already

Wow a year has came and gone so very quickly. Our little man is now a whole year old. He has brought so much joy and laughter to our home. He currently is 26.4 lbs and 30 inches long. He is now pulling himself up on furniture and taking some small baby steps along the furniture. He loves his blocks and playing in his sisters bedroom.
We had a small party for him with some church family. We had a wonderful time.

Playing Around

Gracie is known for playing dress up with anything she can get her hands on. She had Daddy's hat and racket ball glasses this time. I often find her in my shoes. She likes to hear the heals click on the floor.

Courtney At School

Gracie, Caleb, and I had the honor of joining Courtney at school for a tea. All of the students read poems, stories, or reports that they wrote during the school year. I had a wonderful time. The kids are very talented and some even gave them selves a British accent while reading there report so that they sounded like the person they had studied. Courtney read three poems that she had wrote. One of them was about her brother. Mr. Webb said he heard quite a bit about Caleb through the year. When we walked in all the girls gathered around him. It was quite cute really.
He was in the stroller looking around at all the girls like where did you all come from?

My Men

Tony and Caleb sporting there hats. We were getting ready to go and play softball with our Sunday School class at church. Caleb surprised us all that he kept his hat on till we got to the church. I guess boys some how just know they are supposed to wear hats.

The Park

I took the kids to the park just the other day and they had a BLAST. We have a beautiful park by our house. Courtney took Caleb for his first slide. He at first looked at us like we were crazy then of course the giggles started to roll. Gracie loves to swing so that is where she likes to spend her time. We put Caleb in a swing too. He sounded as if he was sucking air when we pulled him up, but when we pushed him forward he would just squeal. He had so much static in his hair from the plastic chair it was literally standing up by the time he was done.

Mother Daughter Date Night

The girls and I are off to have our nails done tonight. It will be just us girls. As Gracie says Daddy has to stay home with Caleb. My friend Tovah and her girls came also. She has Tera (4 years) and a baby girl Mallory (5 months). The girls had a BLAST! Tera and Gracie were so excited. They sat still and let the gal do her job. It was cute to hear them answer her when they were asked which finger they wanted there flower on. Gracie seen her do one on each hand and when she stopped she said "What about this one?" She wanted more flowers LOL! So much fun to watch. Courtney even though she is older loved it just as much! She was fun to watch pick out her nail polish. She looked over ALL the colors, then asked to see if I would go for a few then settled on a nice purple. That happens to be her favorite. This was the first time I have taken the girls to have this done and it was definitely a hit. They were still talking about it this morning. Gracie was still loving the flowers on her hands and Sissy was so thankful that her polish hasn't chipped yet. (I usually do not let them paint their finger nails just toes. I have a thing about chipped finger nail polish it drives me nuts.) It was a nice evening! Not to mention we went back to Tovah's house and had dessert. The girls played dress up. I think Courtney was the beautician. The younger ones had some beautiful hair styles. Poor Caleb I did not see him dressed up as a Prince but I am sure his days are numbered before the girls figure out that they could do that to him and her would not be the wiser. While the kids were playing the adults were able to play some domino's. Not a bad night at all if I do not mind saying so my self. I would do it again in a heart beat. Nothing wrong with taking some time to have fun!

Caleb Goes To The Barber

Just one of the two video's to watch. (I think the other is just a little to long.) I can not believe that Caleb has more hair than his sisters did at this age. He had two curls above each ear that we tucked back and smoothed down. I had cut them off many a time but they always came back. So since the back was getting longer we went ahead a took him to the Barber. He was a good boy all in all. He did not care for Daddy holding his head for the clippers. He is so cute. He looks so much like his Daddy. Wish our family could have been there. I guess for me it is one of those mile stones that I would have loved to share. This will have to be as good as it gets for now.

Why Buy Toys?

These pictures are so self explanatory. Gracie was having the best time with this box. She made it anything her little heart desired! She used it as a shopping cart, a suite case, a tent, and so on. I had so much fun watching her as she played. I did not put the picture on, but at one point she was pretending that she was digging in the box to find some thing. Her little bum was up in the air, feet almost off the ground with her head down in the box. I thought to my self that thing is deeper than Marry Poppins carpet bag. LOL

Sick Babies

Well here are my sick kiddo's. While Daddy went to WA on business the four of us had the case of the icks. Everything from ear infection to flu to vomiting. Courtney was the healthiest of all of us. She was such a huge blessing to me as far has helping her Momma take care of the younger two kids and me. I know one time I was at the table and Sissy said "Momma is it time for your medicine?" As she is saying this she is handing me my sinus meds along with Tylenol. I would not have made it with out her. For the most part we were well on the mend when Daddy came home by the end of the week.

Music Lady

This was Sissy's first band concert. I am so proud of her! She has wanted to play flute since she was in kindergarten. She seen some gals from our church play at the time and it just intrigued her. She is doing so well. Tony and I have her set up with private lessons once a week. Mrs. K has been so FABULOUS. She is also a music teacher. Courtney has been a quick learner but would not have had the chance to move up with the second year students if it wasn't for Mrs. K's help. Sorry that this picture is not the best. Unfortunately most of the ones we took are blurry. Which makes me sad but the kids were constantly moving doing what they needed to do.

Just Wondering

I have a question. More for Moms to answer. What time do you get up in the morning? That is on a regular basis. Do you catch a nap during the day if you can? Yes I am asking because I think I might be a whiner. There I said it and no I do not think I feel any better that I did. A girlfriend and I were talking the other day about this. I am trying to figure out the best time to fit in exercise on a regular basis and I am having a hard time of it. So let me spill my thoughts to you and I would love you input. My day starts at 6:30 for the most part. (Except when my honey lets me sleep in on the Sat then it starts at 8:00.) Caleb is usually up at 6:30. He lays down for a nap around 9:30ish. So I can exercise then and have time for a shower. Then by the time I am done he is up. The thing I do not like about that is I have to wait to get my day started. Yes I can get things done around the house but I like to get up and get ready for the day. Not look like a slob for half the day. Or I could get up at 5:00 when Tony leaves for work and get the exercise in then. I would be able to get ready for my day before the kids wake up and they will have a Momma that is ready to meet their needs. Well that is the way it is supposed to work right? I did that for a week and I tell you what I was a tired Momma by the end of the day. I should have said worn out. So while at work in the evening I am thinking this is so crazy. Does a extra hour and a half of sleep really help that much? Or is it all in my head? So tell me when your day starts. If you could have your choice when would you fit the exercise in between the two choices?

Gracie's New Buddy

This is Gracie's new friend Tera. The girls have hit it off. It has been so much fun to listen to her get excited about her coming over to play. The other night coming home from Tera's house it had not even been five minutes down the road and Gracie said "I love Tera and I miss her." They are pretty sweet. I was trying to get a picture of the two of them right before we left. Tera seems to do well for the camera. Gracie was looking at Daddy instead of Momma but she had her smile on.

Singing With The Ludka's

We had the Ludka family over on Tuesday. What fun we had! They came up from CT for a little R&R. He Pastor's Community Baptist Church in Groton CT. What a blessing they are in our life. Dear sweet friends! It might be hard to hear them because some the boys were playing a video game, but they are singing to Caleb. They were singing lazy bones I think. Caleb was loving it.

Okay I have tried over and over to get the video to work and it just wont. It will work on the preview but when I publish it the video will not play. I am sorry. SO I will attach some pictures instead. I like the one of John playing football. He is wining against Uncle Tony in this game.
While Pastor, Bonnie, and Jeffery sang to Caleb, John and Uncle Tony were playing a football game and I was playing Connect Four with Justin, Posha, and Jacob. Who ever won played the other. There for a while Posha was beating all of us on a regular basis, but we figured out his strategies.
WHAT A GREAT DAY!!

Funny Man Warning

Just as a note if you have logged on to my blog and seen a "Rapper" instead of a "Comedian" please know that I did not put that on my blog. Today I logged on only to find that the funny man I had on there had changed his profession and even his ethnic back ground. When I seen this I was floored. I tried to call Tony but he was not available so I called my friend Jenny.(She is a blogging pro!) I asked her what on earth happened. She said, I was on your blog earlier and the funny man was on there. So she pulled it up and started laughing. I am not joking it was a full fledged rap video. That is not exactly me. She then told me that who ever was sponsoring the original video on the you tube probably changed some thing and in return it changed what I had on mine. So I said okay I will let Tony know and we will do something a little different. Well Jenny and I continued talking about make up. Well I clicked back to my blog only to find that the funny man was now back on my blog. She said wait one minute so she could look to, sure enough she started laughing again. It was so weird. I was glad that I had some one witness this with me. It is not all in my head. If for some reason this happens again please e-mail me so that I can fix it.

"The Master's Warriors"

How exciting Saturday was! It was the first class of the "The Master's Warriors". There were six men that came and one gentelman that was on vacation. Since then Tony has had one more gentleman that is going to join with his son. How exciting is that! We are looking forward to what the Lord will be able to do with this ministry.

I was able to watch and I tell you what I was on the side lines taking it all in. I found myself giving a pep talk in my head for each guy. I know it is tough and they all gave it their best effort! I really look forward to watching again on Sat.
